This may also include any audio or video recordings or photography made with your prior permission. This information is collected in order to provide the best service to you, via comprehensive assessments and/or treatment.
Positive Speech is committed to taking reasonable steps to keep secure any personal information retained in our files. This information may be stored in hard copy in a filing system or in a secure server.
We will never sell or rent your private information. Disclosure of personal information will only take place in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW). This means that it will only be disclosed if we have your consent, we are required by law to disclose it, or it is otherwise permitted under the Act. We also comply with the Speech Pathology Australia Code of Ethics (2010).
If you are not satisfied with our service, please contact us. We take complaints seriously and aim to resolve them quickly and fairly.
If you remain dissatisfied with our response, you may contact the Health Complaints Commissioner (HCC). The HCC responds to complaints about health services and the handling of health information in New South Wales. Their service is free, confidential and impartial.
